Melbourne Storm's football department will be based at Xavier College, Kew throughout January as the Club relocates from AAMI Park during January's Asian Cup.

The venue's three tenants, Storm, Melbourne Victory and the Melbourne Demons will all move out during the three week tournament returning in late January.

Xavier College is a private boys school located in Melbourne. The school's grounds and facilities are available for Storm to use due to school holidays.

Speaking on SEN radio last week, Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi said the Club would make the most of the change over summer, with the team conducting its field, gym and recovery sessions at the school.

"Ourselves the Melbourne Demons and the Melbourne Victory, we all have to vacate for three weeks in January," Ponissi said.

"We are going to move out for three weeks, we see it as a positive. It's like having a three week camp somewhere.

"We're moving out to Xavier College at Kew, they've been fantastic to deal with.

"The Asian Cup will be good for the city of Melbourne and the three weeks away for us will be good as well."

AAMI Park will host seven matches during January's Asian Cup.
