Ryan Hinchcliffe v Paul Gallen

Ryan Hinchcliffe will line up for the Melbourne Storm against Cronulla and NSW Captain Paul Gallen on Saturday night.

Ranked second for tackles at Melbourne so far this season and in 2013, Hinchcliffe’s dogged work rate and versatility are recognised as trademark features of his game. Thanks to consistent form in recent years, the 29-year-old has enjoyed regular selection as starting lock at the Storm and has become an integral and consistent part of the playing group.

His opponent in Paul Gallen is considered one of the best forwards in the competition, with a toughness that earned him the Dally M Lock of the Year for the 2011 and 2012 NRL seasons.

Despite appearing just eight times for Cronulla so far in 2014, Gallen’s leadership once again earned him the captaincy of New South Wales in the State of Origin series for the third consecutive year.
