Welch achieves milestone 150

Christian Welch will celebrate his 150th NRL game this Saturday when he lines up to face the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium.

Starting his journey in purple at U20s level after schooling at Brisbane’s Villanova College, Welch went on to captain the Victoria Thunderbolts before earning his way onto the NRL list, debuting in Round 9 of the 2015 season.

A one-club player, Welch became a Premiership player in 2020 after starting in the front row for the Club’s 2020 NRL Grand Final victory over the Penrith Panthers.

Welch’s on-field achievements were rewarded when he was announced as co-captain of the Club for the 2022 season before becoming sole Captain the following year.

The 28-year-old has also made six appearances at Origin level after making his Queensland debut in 2019.
