From eight teams we are now down to four after the weekend’s World Cup quarter-final action.

Billy Slater was again electric for Australia, scoring a try and setting up another to go along with his two line breaks.

Cameron Smith was again rock solid while Will Chambers made history by becoming the first Northern Territory-native to play a Test in his home region. Young Tonumaipea was brave at fullback though his Samoan side proved no match for the Kangaroos.

Tui Kamikamica and Suliasi Vunivalu are off to the semi-finals as Fiji upset co-host nation New Zealand. Nelson Asofa-Solomona performed strongly off the bench once again for the Kiwis and will leave the tournament with his head held high.
