After making one dream come true Will Chambers is setting his sights on the next.
Just three weeks ago Chambers was in the midst of premiership celebrations with his Storm teammates following their emphatic Grand Final victory.
Now the best centre in the game finds himself in different colours and on the international stage.
Chambers will be making his World Cup debut when he takes to the field for Australia in the tournament opener at AAMI Park on Friday night.
The 29-year-old admits to feeling a few nerves but cannot wait for the moment to arrive.
“It’s something worthwhile to play in a World Cup. To achieve your childhood dream is something special,” Chambers said.
“You get nervous. Playing for Australia is a whole different ballpark to playing in clubland or playing Origin footy.
“It’s the pinnacle of our game to play in a World Cup, so it’s something that I’m excited by but nervous about at the same time.”
