Cameron Munster has described last Saturday’s clash with the Eels as having a Grand Final-type intensity.
Munster played in last year’s decider against Cronulla and felt a similar intensity during Storm’s thrilling win over Parramatta last week.
The 18-16 triumph earned Storm the week off and a home Preliminary Final at AAMI Park next Friday night.
Both sides were relentless in both attack and defence for the entire 80 minutes as they left nothing out there during the Qualifying Final.
“It felt like a Grand Final to be quite honest,” Munster said.
“The speed and the physicality of the game was everything like what we had against the Sharks last year.
“We knew (the Eels) were going to come out hard, we just probably need to be a bit more composed but we were lucky enough to get the win and get the week off so hopefully we can improve.”
While the week off will help heal the bumps and bruises, the men in purple are still working just as hard on the training track.
“We are still training like we’ve got a game this weekend,” Munster said.
“We’re training pretty hard to get ourselves prepared for whoever we play, whether it’s the Broncos or Panthers.”
Storm will play the winner of Friday night’s semi-final.
