Melbourne has sent the benchmark in the NRL, drawing the biggest crowd across all four games in Week One of the NRL Finals.

The purple army showed their force as 22,626 fans turned out to help Storm over the line during their thrilling 18-16 win over Parramatta.

AAMI Park was simply electric on Saturday and more of the same is promised when Storm hosts a Preliminary Final next Friday night at 7.55pm.

The game against Parramatta was the second consecutive week Storm have attracted a crowd of more than 20,000 fans.

It continues a strong year for Melbourne, who hold the second highest home attendance of any team in the NRL with a season average of 19,041.

The Club also achieved record membership this year with 20,507 passionate Storm fans signing up.
