Billy Slater has now scored the most tries in NRL Finals history.

When Slater crossed the line in the 50th minute of Storm's Qualifying Final win over Parramatta he took his finals tally to  a total of 18 tries.

That has now seen the champion fullback surpass St George winger Eddie Lumsden for most all-time.

The very same play also saw Slater move up another spot in the record books.

That try also doubled as the 180th of Slater's career, leaving him now level with Steve Menzies in second for most NRL tries scored.

Saturday's game was Slater's first final in three years after being forced to miss the previous two campaigns through injury.
