Finals may be out of the question but the next two weeks mean a lot for the Thunderbolts.
Storm’s Under-20s will play the first of the last two games at home on the Sunshine Coast when they take on the Rabbitohs this Saturday.
They turned their form around last week to record their ninth win of the season in emphatic fashion, defeating the Knights 54-18 in Newcastle.
While the top out is out of reach, there is plenty to be said for what the next two weeks holds at home to end the 2017 campaign.
“It is pretty fitting, there are a lot of local kids in our squad so we want to make sure we can put two good performances together,” Thunderbolts coach Eric Smith said.
“The boys are really happy to be playing their last couple of games on the Coast. They are obviously pretty up beat after the weekend.
“We are disappointed we are not playing finals but we are determined to finish the year with performances we can be proud of.”
