The past is something Melbourne Storm never forgets and that will never ring more true than this weekend.

The annual Old Boys weekend will kick off on Friday with the 2007 Grand Final team to be honoured at a luncheon.

Most of the players who stepped on the field that day to defeat Manly will be present and also on Sunday to watch the Storm of today lock horns with the Sea Eagles at AAMI Park.

Rivalry continues! Melbourne v Manly, July 30. Book now!

Melbourne will wear a replica of their 2007 jersey to mark the occasion and its significance is certainly not lost on the players who will be pulling it on.

“You really do want to do those guys proud,” Dale Finucane said.

“It is the 10-year anniversary since that 2007 Grand Final side played and they will be down here this weekend.

“It is a really proud moment to play in front of those guys. They have played in the jersey before you so you really want to not let them down.”

The game will kick-off at the family friendly time slot of 2pm on Sunday afternoon.

It kicks off a blockbuster run home for Melbourne that will see the Club play four of its final six games at AAMI Park.
