Cooper Cronk has backed the Club’s re-signing of young talent, labeling it a ‘smart move’ for the future.
Storm announced on Monday that Cheyse Blair, Brodie Croft, Brandon Smith and Jahrome Hughes had all put pen to paper on new deals to remain in Melbourne.
Each of them form an integral part of the Melbourne lineup for the future and their re-signings ensured Storm fans would see them continue to develop before their very eyes.

While Cronk would be watching them from afar once he departs the Club at season’s end, he backed the move to re-sign the quartet as extremely positive.
“There must be a few old guys moving on at the end of the year because Melbourne Storm are suring up their youth,” Cronk said with a rye smile.
“The people involved with this football club, Frank Ponissi the manager and Craig Bellamy the coach, they do their due diligence, they are smart operators.
“If they see someone at 19, 20 and sign them for long term deals it means they are the future of the Club. It is a smart move; those kids have shown enough in the last 12 months that they can definantly contribute to this Club going forward.
“By the time Cameron and Billy move on, these guys would have cemented themselves at the Melbourne Storm moving forward.”
Storm are back home at AAMI Park this week to take on the Sea Eagles.
