Melbourne have put on a show well worthy of the Friday night stage, defeating the Bronco 42-12 in front of 41,471 fans at Suncorp Stadium.
Storm’s returning Origin stars showed they had not missed a beat and they were ably supported by their teammates.
Curtis Scott was again impressive, scoring the second double of his five-game career while Suliasi Vunivalu will once again feature heavily in the highlights reel with two tries of his own.

The Broncos cut the margin to eight in the second half but three Storm tries in six minutes quickly put the contest to bed.
Melbourne could not have scripted a better start as they raced to a 14-point lead before the locals had even found their seats.
After just two minutes Cameron Smith broke through the Broncos line and three plays later his side had the opener through the acrobatics of Suliasi Vunivalu.
Will Chambers shifted to the left edge and it took just 13 minutes for that decision to be vindicated itself as he provided a perfectly timed pass to send Josh Addo-Carr through for Melbourne’s second.
It was dreamland for Storm fans when Cameron Munster produced a line break from the following kick-off. The men in purple then shifted to the right which allowed youngster Curtis Scott to cross the line in acres of space to make it a 14-nil score after just 15 minutes.
Momentum was halted slightly as the Broncos hit back but there was simply no stopping Air Vunivalu.
With 10 minutes before the break the Fijian leapt over two defenders, caught the ball off balance and grounded as if to do it with effortless ease.
Smith slotted the conversion and it was a healthy 20-6 advantage heading into the sheds.
Unlike the first half, the start to the second was far from ideal with Tohu Harris finding himself in the sin bin just five minutes in.
The 12-man Storm defence held strong for seven minutes but the resistance was eventually broken when the Broncos found a way through the left to cut the margin back to eight points.
Just when it seemed the home side was back in the contest Storm responded emphatically.
The first try came via a Cooper Cronk cut out pass in the 57th minute which found Scott, handing the teenager his second double of the season.
Billy Slater then capped off a scintillating team play to score under the posts to suddenly hand the visitors a 32-12 advantage.
They were not done there though with the skipper joining the party for his first try of the season and Storm’s third in the space of just six minutes.
