Rd.17 NYC Team Announcement

Sitting just one game outside the top eight on the NYC ladder, the Thunderbolts know how crucial Friday’s clash is with the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

A win would put them well and truly back in the mix for a finals berth.

They head into the game after back-to-back wins, edging over the line by two points and one point respectively.

Both results came after overturning double-digit deficits but the Thunderbolts are well aware that another slow start could catch up with them.

“We will take a lot of confidence and a lot of belief out of that win (last week) but we’ve just got to make sure we don’t put ourselves under that much pressure again,” Thunderbolts coach Eric Smith said.

“We can’t let the Broncos get off to a good start, we did that earlier in the year when we played them and had to fight our way back.

“We need to make sure we give ourselves every chance at the start of the game, have high completion rates and look after the football.”
