Ryley Jacks will be rested this weekend as he aims to recover from a groin injury.

The 25-year-old took a niggle into Saturday’s game and was able to play through, helping to guide Storm to a golden point win over the Cowboys.

Jacks was not named in the initial 23-man squad to face the Roosters but should be back in contention for a return in the coming weeks.

“To his credit he took a groin injury into the game on the weekend and it probably affected him a little bit at times,” Craig Bellamy said.

“He hurt an ankle in the game as well so that probably didn’t help him at stages but it just goes to show what a tough kid he is, obviously he’s got the team at heart.

“He has been really sore this week so I think he needs a week or two off to get that groin right because we are going to need him at some stage this year, especially with a another game without our Origin boys.”
