The Thunderbolts suffered a 44-18 defeat at the hands of the NYC Rabbitohs at Redfern Oval on Saturday.

A slow start saw Storm’s under 20s facing a 28-0 half-time deficit, one which they could never recover from.

Despite winning the second half, it was simply too big of a hurdle to overcome.

Jesse Arthars converted all three of the Thunderbolts’ tries and even scored one himself.

Dechlan Day and Key Pere also crossed the line in the 68th and 70th minutes respectively.

Their third consecutive loss of the season now means the Thunderbolts have slipped to 10th position on the NYC ladder with a 5-6 record.

They will have a bye this weekend to rest up before hosting the fifth-placed Knights next Saturday morning at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

We return to AAMI Park on June 2. Watch us take on the Knights!
