The Thunderbolts are setting themselves for a big fortnight, starting with this Saturday’s clash with the Titans at Suzuki Field.

Having won just one of their last five games, the next two games shape as crucial for Storm’s Under-20s.

The Thunderbolts currently sit in seventh spot on the NYC ladder with a 5-4 record and take on a Gold Coast team this week that will be full of confidence after defeating the highly fancied Cowboys in their last outing.

With plenty of opportunity ahead of this young squad, the Thunderbolts are ready for what lies ahead.

“We’ve got two more games, a bye and then we get into a block of six games,” Storm Under-20s coach Eric Smith said.

“Obviously we are really focused on this weekend’s games but this two-week block is what we really want to perform well in heading into our next bye.

“We have still got some guys in our squad that haven’t played yet this year and I know they are really excited to get their opportunity. There are some guys that are going to get a crack this weekend who haven’t played in a little while.

“Those guys are keeping us pretty fresh, turning up with a good attitude and doing everything they can to get back in the team.”
