It took until Round 8 but Cameron Munster finally made his debut at the five-eighth position on Tuesday night.
The 22-year-old was rock solid, laying a great foundation for the play-making role Craig Bellamy hopes he will make his own.
Munster ran for 125 metres and made 21 tackles in the win over the Warriors but it was the 80 minutes he spent in the halves that was most valuable to the side.
“I think everyone sees his best position at fullback and perhaps it is but I know he is going to make one hell of a five-eighth if he gets to spend a little bit of time there,” Bellamy said.
“I thought he was tremendous. As I’ve said a lot of times about Munster he is a really tough kid and a really tough footy player.
“Whatever he can do at fullback I think he can do at five-eighth as well. He is a wonderful competitor, a wonderful footballer, he is as tough as nails"

The skipper also believes Munster has a unique natural ability that few others in the game possess.
“The things that helps him and is going to make him a great player if he keeps working hard, is his ability to know what is coming,” Cameron Smith said.
“He is one of these guys that can read the play ahead of everyone else.
“That is something that you can’t coach, Bellyache hasn’t given that to him, he has had that since he was a young guy.
“He is already a wonderful player, he’s only had a couple of seasons under his belt, if he keeps working hard and training hard and improving his skills… he is going to be one special player.”
