Whether you were a Storm fan, a Warrior or a neutral, that 80 minutes had something for everyone.

Melbourne fell behind on four occasions but fought back every time to win 20-14 in front of 22,153 fans.

Craig Bellamy was thrilled with his team’s ability to finish the stronger of the two sides.

“I am really happy with the performance,” he said.

“It was a tough game of footy, a fairly quick game of footy and there was a bit in there for everyone to be quite honest.

“We were probably a little bit better in the last 10 or 15 minutes and at the end of the day that is probably what swung the game our way.”

The captain agreed, putting the performance at the top of the pile for 2017.

“Most definitely our best game all year,” Cameron Smith said.

“We started with a lot of energy and we backed that up in the second half.

“The attack and the defence didn’t fall away at all so that was a really pleasing aspect about tonight.”

The victory saw Storm return to the top of the NRL ladder, one game clear of the Roosters and next week’s opponents the Dragons.
