Football royalty graced Storm HQ on Friday with former England manager Roy Hodgson and City Football Service’s Managing Director Brian Marwood paying a visit.

The pair stopped by AAMI Park to share their wisdom and advice around leadership and discuss their distinguished careers.

Hodgson, who is currently doing consultancy work for Melbourne City, spoke to Storm’s emerging leaders and coaching staff as well as Will Chambers and Dale Finucane, the two newest members of the 2017 leadership group.

The talk centred around the importance of having good people in an organisation as well as strong values and behaviours.

The visit came about through the relationship Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy and Football Director Frank Ponissi have with Marwood, dating back to 2014 when Storm held part-ownership of Melbourne Heart.

It was part of the monthly program Nick Maxwell runs with the emerging leadership group.

Once a month the group catches up for lunch, with Maxwell organising a guest speaker to talk to the group about the importance of leadership.
