A barely-mentioned talking point so far this season has been Storm’s ability to weather a significant injury toll on their way to an unblemished 4-0 record.

It all started before the season even began when Tohu Harris was ruled out of the first part of the season with a long-term foot injury.

Then just 10 minutes into the campaign star prop Jesse Bromwich was forced from the field with a thumb injury.

Be there for our next home game at AAMI Park in Round 5, Saturday 1 April at 7:30pm.

Cameron Munster, Jordan McLean and Suliasi Vunivalu have also been sidelined through injury, with the latter two a chance to return against the Panthers.

That is five quality players out of Storm’s starting side that have missed games in the opening four rounds.

It is a testament of the squad’s resilience that younger players have stepped up and taken their chance at first grade.

“They (injured players) are quite significant personnel in our side but we have managed to come away with four pretty good wins,” Storm skipper Cameron Smith said.

“We’ve coped a few injuries and not just to some of the young guys that have come into our squad this year.

“The young guys that have been asked to come in to our first grade team have played well and held up their end.”

Joe Stimson, Vincent Leuluai, Josh Addo-Carr and Ryley Jacks have all made their Storm debuts so far this season.

Melbourne are this week preparing for a Saturday night showdown against the Panthers at AAMI Park.
