Top of the table after four rounds the Thunderbolts have been sweeping all before them so far this season.
An emphatic 62-24 win over Wests Tigers on Sunday afternoon proved how far this Under-20s team has come in the last twelve months.
Their ability to build pressure on teams has vastly improved however a tough test awaits on Saturday at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
It will be a 1st v 2nd clash as the Thunderbolts face a Penrith side that has long been dominant at NYC level.
“They’ve been the benchmark in the Under-20s competition for the last three years,” Thunderbolts coach Eric Smith said.
“It is going to be a really tough task for us, we are looking forward to it though.”
“We are confident in our ability but it is going to be a good gauge for us to see how well we really are travelling.”
