Storm's Nines Captain Will Chambers says "it's an exciting time" for the Club as he prepares to lead a young squad at this weekend's tournament in Auckland.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday morning at Storm's 2015 team photo day, Chambers explained how the Club's next generation were viewing the abbreviated format of the game.

"They're all very excited," Chambers said.

"It's been a long pre-season for a lot of them and this is an opportunity for them to impress Craig.

"We've got a lot of young kids who are looking forward to the opportunity to play against genuine first-graders.

"It's an exciting time for us as a Club and there's a lot of young talent coming through."
