Storm Coach Craig Bellamy is happy with the way his young squad have approached training, just under two months into the 2015 pre-season campaign.

With the Club's Four Nations representatives still on break from training, Bellamy gave his assessment on Tuesday afternoon.

"They've had a pretty tough pre-season, its probably been one of our toughest for three or four years," Bellamy said.

"It's been a very young squad with obviously our Four Nations players still on a break.

"The squad has been really young, but I'm really happy with the way they've hung in and got through a lot of hard work."

In addition to the youthful look of Melbourne's squad, 2015 recruits Blake Green and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs have added experience to Bellamy's line-up for the new season. The coach outlined the value both players have brought to the table during the pre-Christmas training block.

"I must say our new guys have been impressive as well," Bellamy said.

"Blake Green has really come on and trained well. He's always got something to say in the meetings so that's really good.

"Tommy Learoyd-Lahrs has been working really hard.

"They've been very handy at this time of year without our leadership group here."
