Easts Tigers have been defeated 36-4 by the Northern Pride in the 2014 Queensland Cup Grand Final held at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

A fast start to the match by the 2014 minor premiers left Easts on the back foot to begin the match with Craig Ingebrigtsen's side struggling to gain a foothold.

Trailing 18-0 at half-time, the Tigers needed a quick response to begin the second half, however there was no respite from the Pride.

Further tries to open the second stanza saw the Cairns based outfit take control and all but seal the result before reaching the hour mark.

Melbourne Storm bound five-eighth Shaun Nona capped off a brilliant day, not only claiming premiership glory with the Pride, but also being judged best afield and awarded the Duncan Hall Medal.
