Ahead of Friday night's crunch game against the Brisbane Broncos at AAMI Park, forward Ryan Hoffman says Storm's focus is on one thing - winning.

Melbourne require two premiership points on Friday night in order to secure a finals berth in 2014 and will face the Anthony Griffin's Broncos who are also chasing victory to keep their top eight points alive.

"We're still a shot for the top four but we also know if things don't go our way we may find ourselves in a bit of trouble," Hoffman said on Monday morning.

"At this time of year it's all about winning, that's what we need to do this weekend.

"There were a lot of positives from our game on the weekend against the Roosters.

"We've got to take those positives and look to build on them on Friday night."
