After re-signing Captain Cameron Smith last week, the good news continues at Melbourne Storm  with talented front rower Jesse Bromwich committing to the club for a further four years.

And young guns Slade Griffin and Cameron Munster have also agreed to terms with the club, tying them to Melbourne Storm for two and three years respectively.

Bromwich, 24, has confirmed his status as one of the best props in the competition, having cemented his starting spot in Storm’s line-up over the last two seasons. He was the only Storm player to have played every game in 2013 and this season is scheduled to notch up his 100th first grade appearance.

The New Zealand international has showed his importance to Storm in the opening two rounds of the season, arguably the team’s best performer in nail-biting wins against Manly and Penrith.

Last Saturday night alone, Bromwich made a herculean 178 metres to go with 22 tackles in 54 minutes in Storm’s one-point defeat of Penrith.

Bromwich is a disciple of Melbourne’s successful development program, having progressed through the ranks of the Club’s U20s. He is part of a rare group of players, having made his first-grade debut in the 2010 World Cup Challenge Final against Leeds.

Melbourne Storm Football Director, Frank Ponissi, said the Club was extremely pleased to have re-signed Bromwich.

“Jesse’s signing is terrific news for Melbourne Storm, it’s another great announcement for the club and a key part of our retention strategy,” Ponissi said.

“Jesse has progressed into an elite footballer who also has shown his leadership potential.

“He’s a big guy with good footwork and is very consistent.  It’s not only the metres he makes each week, but he is smart with the footy too.”

New Zealander Griffin was called into Storm’s opening three rounds of the 2013 season and played an important role throughout the crucial State of Origin period, providing support in key playmaking roles. The utility played six games last season, a great achievement for the 23-year old having rupturing his ACL ligament in the first trial match of 2012.

Meanwhile, Munster, 19, has made an eye catching debut during Storm’s trial matches. The Queenslander, part of the club’s NYC team, is known for his speed and work ethic he has displayed during his first pre-season.
