Upcoming Events Released

With the 2013 season drawing closer, Melbourne Storm will be hosting a number of events both on and off the field, catering for a wide range of the club’s dedicated supporters. Here is a sample of the events that fans can get involved in over the coming months.

Family Day, Saturday 2 March
Melbourne Storm’s 2013 Family Day will be held on Saturday 2 March. The event will commence with an open training session from 9:30am to 11:00am. Following the team’s training session there will be a number of fun activities for the kids on Gosch’s Paddock from 11:00am until 2:00pm. This will include jumping castles, a petting zoo, face painting and much more. In addition, there will be on stage player interviews as well as player signing and photo booth opportunities for the fans to mingle with the team. There will also be opportunities to pick up 2013 Storm merchandise including the new jersey and team wear as well as membership tents where you can sign up and become No Ordinary Member.

Season Launch, Friday 8 March
Join us for the Official 2013 Melbourne Storm Season Launch in the River Room at Crown on Friday 8 March. Beginning at 12pm, this business luncheon is a spectacular way to kick off the 2013 season. Both players and coaching staff will be in attendance with the 2013 playing squad being presented with their jerseys. Additional benefits include a two-course meal, premium beverage package and live entertainment plus more. Tickets are $210 for members, $225 for non members and $2,100 for a table of ten. There are limited spots available. The dress code is business attire with no denim permitted.

Storming Brisbane – Official Melbourne Storm Queensland Function, Thursday 28 March
Be part of the build-up before NRL heavyweights Melbourne Storm and the Brisbane Broncos clash at our Melbourne Storm Queensland Function. Tickets are limited and will sell out fast. Held at Brisbane Easts Leagues Club, you will enjoy a night of fine dining and great entertainment including a guest appearance from Storm Captain Cam Smith & Premiership wining coach, Craig Bellamy. Club legends Matt Geyer alongside assistant coaches David Kidwell and Kevin Walters will offer their insight into the club as well as a game preview. Tickets are $145 for members and $165 for non members. Options for tables of ten are also available from $1,450.

Golf Day, Monday 6 May
The annual Melbourne Storm Masters returns in 2013 and will be held on Monday 6 May at Heritage Golf Course. A favourite on the club calendar, the event offers golfers to play alongside Storm players, coaches and staff in a relaxed off-field atmosphere. Benefits include 18 holes 4BBB Ambrose, pre-golf buffet lunch, great prizes plus much more. In addition, those wanting to increase their involvement on the day can secure a Hole Sponsorship. Some of the benefits attached to a Hole Sponsorship includes but is not limited to, tee box signage, ability to include brochures in registration pack and the opportunity to sponsor themed holes. Entry is $395 per player and $1,500 for those investing in Hole Sponsorship. Groups are selling fast and with over $25,000 in prizes it is sure to be a great day.

Pre Season matches
In the lead up to the 2013 home and away season and the World Club challenge, Craig Bellamy’s side will continue their preparations on the field.

Storm will take on the Canberra Raiders at Simonds Stadium in Geelong on Friday 8 February. It will be the side’s only match against NRL opposition during the pre-season and will provide a great opportunity for fans to view two National Rugby League teams tune up for the 2013 season.

Friday 22 February, World Club Challenge, Storm v Leeds Rhinos, 8pm (GMT), Headingley Carnegie Stadium
The club is looking at possible venues for supporters to watch the World Club Challenge together. Stay tuned for details.

Melbourne Storm will also play a practice match against Queensland Cup outfit and Storm feeder club Brisbane Easts on Saturday 2 February with several up and coming players a part of the club’s broader development pathways set to feature as preparations continue for the season ahead.
